Title of Work: “No Agender”

Artist Statement:
Susan Holmes is a visual artist working mainly in sculpture, creative writing and moving images. She is currently completing an MA in Fine Art at Plymouth College of Art working in sculpture and filming, based within a local park where she has spent her time during the lockdowns. She collaborated with a fellow student during the MA to design a 7 meter sculpture due to be installed within the new Marine Oceansgate complex in Plymouth dockyards this year. The Opening Ceremony will take place on 8th March 2021 online due to lockdown. She has been involved in setting up a photography group, supporting young adults with mental illness, through Plymouth Mind and facilitating ceramic workshops with the charity Jeremiah's Journey, supporting children facing bereavement.

Susan holds a BA hons in 3D Design from Plymouth College of Art. Recent online exhibitions include Frontier Art lockdown photography Exhibition 2020, Morning hugs with Mummy. June 2020 Social Distancing Gallery Painting Exhibition, Face of Self Acceptance, Face of Self appreciation. July 2020 publication The Mass online magazine, film entitled Beyond Belief. She is in the process of self publishing When Your Goddess Calls, and has other self published work, WAKEN, published January 2012, and Planetary Abundance published November 2013.
